Overview:


The Global Banking & Markets (GB&M) Finance IT team is a team responsible for the definition and delivery of product control and finance systems across HSBC's four hubs: HK. London. Paris and NY. The team are engaged in the definition, development and implementation of Product Control's strategic P&L analysis and reporting system, off-market rate checking system and Finance's reconciliation systems, general ledger posting engine and regulatory reporting systems. Members of the team tend to get involved in several projects at once.

In addition to the finance driven projects, the team are also responsible for the analysing the impact of front-office and back-office driven programmes on Finance systems.


Purpose of the Job:


· Functional SME for the development and support of Finance IT's accounting hub
· Responsible for project delivery governance, with focus on meeting sponsor requirements.
· Collaboration with clients through design, configuration/development, testing and go-live.
· Co-ordination with other programme areas within Finance IT


Responsible For:


Based in Pune, the successful candidate with be responsible for:

· Building effective relationships with the Hub based SPARC technical and environment team
· Actively participate in SPARC platform delivery

Control
Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which you are involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy.

Maintain HSBC Internal Control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.

Be aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with your role and act in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations.

ESSENTIAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS (Experience, skills, competencies etc)

1) Proficient in Core Java,JSP ,Servlets, Core Spring, Spring Web and Spring Integration.
2) Familiarity with concepts of MVC, JDBC and RESTful Webservices.
3) Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and Maven build tool.
4) Hands-on experience over XSLT , Unix Scripting and Swing UI Framework.
5) Excellent communication skills.
6) Experience in handling production release
7) Knowledge of DevOps tools like Jenkins and Ansible would be added advantage.

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQCUIRMENTS (Experience, skills, competencies etc)

Understanding of Product Control, Finance and/or Regulatory processes and workflow
Understanding of regulatory, legal and compliance initiatives
Experience in MS Access, Excel & Oracle or Sybase or SQL Server SQL (>3 years)
Highly developed reasoning and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and spoken) – comfortable with detail
