Retail Banking and Wealth Management (RBWM)

Retail Banking and Wealth Management leverages HSBC's global retail banking expertise and wealth management capabilities to deliver a broad range of world-class retail banking solutions to millions of customers. Driving for growth in key markets around the world, the business comprises areas such as retail banking, wealth management, insurance and asset management, with a focus on customer-centric propositions and innovative and efficient distribution channels that will differentiate our customer experience and deliver market leading retail banking and wealth management solutions.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:

The jobholder works within the approved relationship banking strategies to ensure a customer-oriented environment is provided. He/She has to actively manage the resources to offer a one-stop financial service so as to achieve the business goals and targets. He/she should possess detailed knowledge on all wealth management products and insurance and investment regulations and in compliance to them.The jobholder should have the ability to decide intelligently and independently, with clearly understanding and balance of the implication to the bank's interest.

Effective time management is of paramount importance as the jobholder should apportion 80% of the time for Premier relationship management. The discipline to follow the contact strategy in the “S&S Protocol” is also essential in view of the bulk of relationship assigned.

The jobholder always has to keep himself/herself updated of the market environment. The customers are quite demanding and sophisticated.

The jobholder should also be a model of professional standard of excellent service and sales provided to customers, and to ensure that internal and external compliances are duly observed.

The jobholder should have the ability to decide intelligently and independently, with clearly understanding and balance of the implication to the bank's interest.

Desired profile

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

1. Knowledge & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

• Minimum of three years proven and progressive financial services and/or retail sales experience or equivalent

• Evidence of strong sales results in insurance and investment products

• Relationship management experience with high net worth clients

• Strong technical skills in wealth management

• Strong communication, client focus and influencing skills

• Strong sales orientation, networking and portfolio management skills

• Sound knowledge of financial services products and services and the client relationship management system

• Understanding of business banking client segment and products and services

• Local regulatory & license requirements - job holder should possess valid licenses with accreditation on wealth management and qualification as required by HBCN

• Clear view on how to work with Compliance, Credit & Risk and Internal Control to ensure a balanced risk operating environment

• Able to communicate well in English and local languages

• Attain appropriate professional and regulatory qualifications as required by market

• Attain any internal standards as required by HBCN
