We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Assistant Manager, Systems and Decisioning, Fraud Analytics.

You will be aligned to Systems and Decisioning, Fraud Management who are responsible for establishing and operating policies, standards, systems and other controls to prevent and detect fraud against the HSBC Group or its customers. Where fraud occurs, the Systems and Decisioning team is responsible for optimisation and identifying control weaknesses or failures.

Your responsibilities will include:

Perform in-depth analysis, design, implement and monitor strategies/projects for the Banks Debit and Credit Card portfolios;

·
Perform in-depth analysis, design, implement and monitor strategies/projects for account opening / originations. These will involve using multiple referral/decisioning systems and other layered tooling to identify fraud;

·
Lead the development and deployment of analytical products to manage and mitigate fraud and financial crime risk;

·
Interpret and manipulate large data sets to extract trends and identify issues and risk;

·
Monitoring fraud trends to mitigate loss while maintaining minimum genuine customer impact, therefore providing a positive customer experience and Best Place to Bank.

Developing & implementing new strategies in response to new fraud attack vectors to reduce fraud losses whilst optimising the customer experience, including providing feedback to relevant stakeholders on actions taken

Desired profile



Qualifications :

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

· 
Existing Fraud Risk / Financial Crime experience

· 
Knowledge of transactional and account opening processes.

· 
Experience of the following: tooling including device and behaviour biometric profiling, SAS EFM, Falcon, Biocatch, Hunter and Threatmetrix.

· 
Knowledge of using and calibrating Behaviour Biometric & Device ID tooling and Experian application tools

· 
Relevant analytical experience, must be proficient using and coding in SAS and/or SQL

· 
Motivated self-starter who has the ability to multi-task, work effectively alone and under pressure

· 
Excellent organisation, inter-personal and communication skills – written and verbal

· 
Enthusiasm, positive can-do approach
