Assistant Insurance Finance Manager

Business Finance and Analytics – Insurance Business Finance Department

Hang Seng's Financial Control function works closely with the Bank's stakeholders, including business partners, shareholders, regulators and external examiners. We function as their accountants and business partners in providing comprehensive information on financial management, financial planning, financial reporting and compliance, capital planning and reporting, financial control & SOX control, tax advisory, insurance finance, and global markets finance.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Assistant Insurance Finance Manager .

Principal responsibilities

· Prepare various management reporting to management of Bank or Group timely and in accurate manner
· Participate in financial plans/budgets process including monthly latest estimates, the annual plan and strategic planning activity.
· Conduct value added business and financial analytics and help drive key insights and decision making while taking risk management into consideration
· Participate in system enhancement / development testing, new product user requirements and other ad hoc projects
· Work effectively with business partners including both onshore and offshore team, to ensure effective communication and accurate interpretation of Business Finance information or analysis

Qualifications :

Requirements

·  University degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial or a related discipline
·  Over three years' experience in accounting / auditing/ financial planning and analytics, with knowledge of insurance and financial products an advantage
·  Ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines, overtime work is required with compensation provided
·  Self-motivated, high ownership of work product and dedication and commitment to driving results
·  Strong business sense, coupled with good business partnering and ability to work collaboratively with different stakeholders
·  Solid analytical skills complemented by astute financial and business acumen
·  Sound knowledge of application software such as MS Excel and Powerpoint
·  Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese
·  Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
