Branch Management Office (BMO)

Branch Management Office is central to HBCN network strategy to sustain market leadership among foreign banks. It oversees the HBCN branches, governs the implementation of Branch Operating Model, delivers the planning and execution of network expansion and optimization, together with Global Businesses and Global Functions.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:

Conduct control testing independently at branch network either onsite/offsite; assist to ensure the control points of branch operations and management are effective and adequate via Internal Control Monitoring Plan; e.g. no repeated issues or similar findings;
Based on Management Self-Identified Issues (MSII), Key Risk Findings (KSI), Risk Control Assessment and Incident Reports, any audit reports and regulatory findings, etc. follow up that branches have rectified the outstanding issues and actions timely

Able to identify root cause of risks problems and propose effective solutions

Desired profile

Qualifications :

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:

- Minimum undergraduate with two to five years in a risk-based role; e.g. risk control/audit/compliance, etc.
- The job holder must have a good knowledge of overall branch risk management (familiar with external banking requirements from CBRC/SAFE/PBOC etc. and familiar with bank internal operational risk oversight);
- job holder should be able to work independently and possess strong communication skills; are mature and be assertive in monitoring that action items and control are followed through at the network; should be able to travel within China; preference given to candidates with background on operations and control in corporate and/or personal banking products and services.
