Education and Experience Required:

·  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
·  Typically with  2 t o 4 yrs of experience in software testing.
 

Essential Skill Requirements:

·  Strong hands on experience with QA methodologies.
·  Proven bug detection and regression skills.
·  Experienced in Software Product Testing (Black-box : especially functional and system testing)
·  Experience in non-functional testing like performance, load testing etc
·  Knowledge of Software development Life cycle, Quality processes.
·  Strong hold on  TCP/ UDP protocols based software testing like HTTP ,SMTP, SNMP, Diameter, RADIUS, REST etc
·   Test tools experience for testing as well as test automation like, Selenium, Robot, J-Meter, SOAP UI, CURL  etc
·   Knowledge of scripting/programming using Linux/Unix shell, Python
·  Working knowledge of databases like Oracle, MySQL
·  Willing to take up any task according to project needs based on the expertise .
 

Desirable skills:              

·  Good knowledge and hands-on Telecom software testing experience
·  Knowledge of High Availability Systems (HA)
·  Knowledge of testing application in Virtualized/Cloud environment
·  Working knowledge on Agile methodology and Practices , Usage of JIRA story points, estimation etc
·  Working knowledge of SCM like GIT, ClearCase etc
·  Basic knowledge on java coding is an added advantage.

·  Multitasks efficiently based on clear understanding of priorities and related impacts.
·  Efficient in independently driving technical solution in assigned area .
·  Mentor/assist fellow team members on day to day activities whenever they are stuck
·  Proactive communicator. Reports progress as well as calls for help on blocker with equal sense of urgency .
·   Highly productive, independent and passionate about testing/release engineering.
·   High Initiative – self-driven and takes ownership
·  Attention to details
·  Good communication and interpersonal skill
