Responsibilities:
As part of HPE’s Global Solutions Engineering team, you will help design, develop and debug solutions built using HPE hardware/software as well as open source software products. You will work closely across the team and with Customers, Partners, Engineering, and Marketing teams, to develop and contribute to innovative solutions in the Data analytics, Industrial internet of things, software defined infrastructure and cloud technology streams.

Requirements:

·  Must have completed Masters or Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering majors, with 0 to 2 years of relevant work experience in information technology roles
·  Understanding of computer systems and operating systems architecture, distributed applications and network architecture
·  Working knowledge of Linux, or Windows server operating systems
·  Software programing knowledge and hands on experience in one or more of the following: Java, Java Script, Python, Go, C, C++, C#
·  Web development, User Interface (UI) development knowledge and/or hands on experience in one or more of the following technologies: HTML5, CSS, XML, React, Angular, Node.JS
·  Understanding of database technologies, and hands on experience working with one or more of  SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Cassandra, MongoDB
·  Hands on experience with any one of the following scripting languages - Bash, Korn, Windows Powershell, Python, Perl, JavaScript
·  Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
·  Passion for technology
·  Eager, quick learner with strong team work spirit, self-motivated
·  Must be able to commute to Houston, TX.

Preferred Skills:

·  Agile development environment knowledge and/or experience
·  Able to perform in a fast-paced, demanding environment
Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States of America without needing Visa or other sponsorship from HPE.
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·  Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM), containers management technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Mesosphere)
·  Data analytics tools and technologies – Apache nifi, Hadoop, Spark, R
·  Infrastructure Automation tools – cobbler, ansible, chef, puppet
·  Networking concepts – routing, network topologies, software defined networking, network fault tolerance
·  Experience working with cloud services offered by any one of the cloud service providers i.e. AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform

HPE Global Solutions Engineering (GSE) is a worldwide function in the HPE Sales organization, and helps drive adoption of new technology products with our customers.  The team works closely with customers, sales teams, product management and services organizations to develop innovative solutions to solve business and technology problems.  GSE team is currently focused on cloud, data analytics, data center management, Internet of Things and machine learning technologies.
