Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a highly motivated Systems/ Software Intern to work in the Austin, TX office. In this role, you will work with a highly experienced, highly skilled engineering team within HPE's Enterprise Business organization, to architect and develop innovative products for network interconnects and switches for cloud infrastructure products. 

Responsibilities:

·  Design, develop and improve software tools, processes and components to reduce overhead and improve quality of partner deliverables
·  Work with development team to identify and capture test cases and developing tests
·  Develop automated Java tests for OneView Network ART, and improve CRM regression tests.

Education and Experience:

·  Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with at least 2 years of courses completed towards degree.
·  Java programming language
·   Proficient in user interface design and software development
·  Good communication skills and willingness to work in an Agile software development methodology.
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at management levels.
·  Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams utilizing people skills
·  Strong analytical and problem solving skills and ability to think creatively to solve complex problems
·  Ability to design, develop and improve software tools, processes and components to reduce overhead and improve quality of partner deliverables
·  Strong desire to learn and succeed
·  Must have high quality standards and have strong problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to take ownership and drive results.

The following skills and experience are desired:

• Familiarity with Linux, Windows, JavaScript, and Python

• Knowledge of software test development, execution, and scripting

• Familiarity with agile development process

• Familiarity with system administration processes and tools

• Eclipse

• JSP
