Job Description:

   

SUMMARY

Responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to hardware or software. Responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problem, and determines and implements solution.

Early career and freshly graduated candidates with remarkable potential will be as well considered.

3PAR Management

·  Monitor health status and availability
·  Monitor available capacity
·  Monitor performance alerts
·  Monitor Replication alerts
·  Check log files on critical events
·  Provide Availability, Capacity and Performance Reports
·  Creation of CPG’s
·  Creation of VV’s ( FPVV, TPVV, TDVV)
·  Creation of Virtual Volume Set
·  Creation of VLUNs
·  Storage Reclaim
·  3PAR support log collection
·  Perform device configuration backup
·  Fix critical events
·  Address performance issues
·  Fix performance issues ( Consulting engagement is required)
·  Grow/Tune/modify/deletion of VLUNs/VVs/CPGs
·  Creation/modification/deletion of Physical Copy/Virtual Copy/Snapshots
·  Creation of Consistency Group Virtual copies
·  Remote Copy Operations
·  Tune system
·  Performance tuning based on recommendation
·  Maintain 3PAR CMDB
·  Co-ordination for Firmware/Software upgrade
·  Perform device configuration restore from backup

Storence/Library Management

·  Monitor health status and availability
·  Monitor system performance (CPU and memory)
·  Monitor Disk Backup library capacity
·  Monitor Service Set Status
·  Monitoring of WARNING and CRITICAL Appliance alerts
·  Check log files on critical events
·  License Add
·  Capture Support ticket
·  Shutdown or reboot the appliance
·  Check Housekeeping statistics
·  Schedule housekeeping Blackout windows
·  Check Replication status (if applicable)
·  Perform Disk Backup library configuration backup
·  Provide Appliance status report
·  Provide Capacity Report
·  Fix critical events
·  Creation of VTL/NAS/Catalyst Store
·  Disk Backup library Network configuration
·  Failover / failback service sets (if multi node)
·  Implement new firmware releases
·  Add or modify libraries/shares/Disk Backup library catalyst stores
·  Restore Disk Backup library configuration from backup

Veeam

·  Monitor health status and availability
·  Monitor Backup Job Warnings and Failures
·  Monitor Veeam services
·  Check log files for Failed Backups/warnings
·  Start ad-hoc backup
·  Install, update or Revoke Licenses
·  Create backup jobs
·  Manage Backup Jobs ( Clone jobs, disable/Remove Jobs, Start/Stop/Restart Jobs)
·  Health check for Backup Files
·  Support log collection
·  Add or remove client backup
·  Add/Edit/Remove Backup Repositories
·  Perform Restore Operations ( Instant VM recovery, Perform VM restore, Restore VM files)
·  Create Replication Jobs
·  Manage Replicas
·  Replication Failover and Failback
·  Incident management and vendor co-ordination
·  Backup and Restore to/from Tape (If applicable)

SAN Management

·  Monitor health status and availability
·  Check switch status
·  Add or remove Licenses
·  Support Log collection
·  Perform device configuration backup
·  Zone configurations
·  Enable or Disable Switch or Blades or Ports
·  Enable or disable configuration
·  Restore device configuration from backup
·  Incident management and vendor co-ordination

Education and Experience

·  Bachelor’s degree in IT - Preferably on networking
·  Knowledge and experience of customer service practices
·  Related experience and training in troubleshooting and providing support
·  Knowledgeable to ask questions to determine nature of problem and log tickets in tool.
·  ITIL V3 Foundations
·  Technical Certification – Preferably on Storage and/or backup
