Description

There are a number of unique server hardware configuration requirements of HPE Servers that some of the top. Tier customers want to be customized . These RNPI / Specials / 3PO requirements of customers need to be validated and turned around quickly into the systems for order fulfillment.The job consists of understanding the differences existing standard Product BOM and the customer specific order BOM, working with the CTO Engineers to validate the customized configuration and working with the Product Engineer / Engineering Coordinator to create a Special BOM in the systems for customer ordering. It requires a good level of working knowledge of the home grown OTT Application to enter options in the product of interest, release it to PDM team for nesting and release the Menus to KES team for appropriate configurator modeling. There will also be ECO activity to update BOM.Basic knowledge of Servers and their components is essential. Knowledge of SAP systems, BOM structuring, BOM changes is also essential.

As a Product Engineer you would be…

·  Understand the differences between standard product BOM and the customized product BOM
·  Work with CTO Engineer to validate the customized product BOM
·  Work with Product Engineer / Engineering Coordinator to get the lower level BOM validated.
·  Structure the BOM PMG after validation
·  Add the Specials SKU to products and release Product Offering to PDM team for nesting in SAP
·  and release the Product Menu to KES team for appropriate modeling in configurators
·  Submit ECO for BOM release / updates to the PDM team
·  Work with 3PO program team for approval of 3PO change requests and release Product Offering to
·  PDM team for nesting
·  Project Coordination with interdisciplinary teams
·  Periodic Management Reporting

If you…

·  Have Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
·  Typically 2 to 7 years of experience
·  Knowledge and Skills:
·  Knowledge of Servers and Server Options
·  BOM Analysis and understanding of ECO
·  Ability to apply analytical and problem solving skills
·  A sharp eye for quality and to detect differences / changes on the BOM and its impact
·  Strong communication skills and ability to interact with interdisciplinary teams smoothly
·  Good Project Management ability to accomplish end-to-end task
·  Expertise in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint for business analysis and management review
