Job Description:

   

Recent technology advances in high-density, byte-addressable non-volatile memory (NVM) and low-latency memory-semantic interconnects have enabled building large-scale systems with a large disaggregated fabric-attached memory pool shared across decentralized compute nodes.

Your primary focus initially will be on performance modeling and evaluation of high-performance computing, high-performance data analytics and cloud computing applications on novel persistent fabric-attached memory architectures.  Specific activities will include:

·  Profiling HPC/HPDA/cloud applications of interest to understand their processor, memory and I/O behavior.
·  Extrapolating from profiled behaviors to predict application behavior on future processor and memory systems.
·  Building and/or extending large scale system simulator tools to support novel persistent fabric-attached memory architectures.
·  Building and/or extending large scale simulator tools to expose APIs that enable programming with fabric-attached memory.
·  Working with an application modeling team to evaluate the simulation tools’ functional capabilities, performance, and scalability.

Knowledge and Skills

·  A very high level of coding and debugging skills in conventional languages (C and C++). Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Perl also a plus. 
·  Demonstrated expertise in both the use and creation of distributed large-scale simulation tools.
·  Demonstrated expertise in profiling converged applications to quantify processor and memory system behavior.
·  Experience with creating abstract models of complex application behavior.
·  Demonstrated ability to design, develop and debug large complex software systems.
·  Strong background in algorithms, performance analysis and tuning.
·  Experience in handling applications of distributed systems
·  Skills in these areas are also a plus:
·  Broad familiarity with processor and memory system hardware architectures. 
·  Ability to understand the impact of software architectural design decisions on system performance, fault tolerance and usability.
·  MPI/SHMEM/OpenMP
· 
Education Qualification:

B Tech or M tech in Computer science, HPC domain engineering or equivalent  and 10-12 Years of experience.
