Head of Sales Enablement

The Sales Enablement organization is looking for an experienced, passionate Sales Enablement and Certification leader who will create and lead programs focused on improving the effectiveness of our Sales teams as they engage with prospects and clients. Your leadership will improve the ability of our Sales professionals to help our clients leverage Aruba services to greatly improve their customer experiences and engagement.

The ideal Sales Enablement leader will deeply understand the needs of the business, of marketing priorities, and the mindset of internal and external sellers. This role will identify and prioritize selling skill development gaps and design a strategy to execute a variety of approaches to improve each individual’s effectiveness at every stage of the sales lifecycle. Approaches will include traditional product and technology training, on-demand learning, “snackable” updates, multimedia delivery, and trends in enterprise learning. The Sales Enablement Leader will also own the business of Aruba certification, and the training and delivery organization - delivered directly and by learning partners, to ensure customers have access to certified Aruba engineers, and to grow individual careers in Aruba technology.

As a leader within the marketing team, you will build an agenda that balances the Sales organization’s business strategy and the marketing organization’s product and editorial calendar. You will partner closely with the Product Management Organization’s technical enablement team, and the Product and Solutions Marketing team, to source raw content. You will work closely with the regional sales teams to align on priorities and key programs. The Enablement team will be experts in the craft of teaching and will adapt raw content into various consumable formats and programs. This team will focus on the creation, design, and implementation of development programs for sales skills, solution knowledge, and value identification.

What You’ll Do

·  Work with Sales leadership to align on strategy and set priorities
·  Partner with regional leadership to understand team challenges and needs
·  Act as the lead for building curriculums, courses and content with subject matter experts for selling teams
·  First-hand development of content
·  Deliver training and enablement that is on , on time, and on budget
·  Plan and execute
·  Plan and execute regional
·  Coordinate training requirements for channel partners with the global and regional channel enablement teams
·  Define and oversee the Aruba Certification program, responsible for revenue creation through course delivery both directly and through partners worldwide
·  Discover new methods and technologies to support the enablement process and break through the noise
·  Oversee the effective use of any learning management platforms and recommend improvements, as necessary
·  Create and manage the roadmap of quarterly and annual projects
·  Define and measure a set of quarterly goals and metrics for your team

Qualified candidates will have:

·  10+ years of relevant professional experience
·  3+ years in management or leadership position
·  3+ years in a Sales Enablement and or Course Development and Certifications development  with proven examples of execution at highly performing companies
·  Bachelors degree or equivalent in business or instructional design
·  Experience with sales organizations operating globally and in a virtual environment
·  Expertise as a strategic leader with excellent problem-solving skills and proven ability to influence change and galvanize action
·  Ability to effectively deal with ambiguity
·  A proactive, self-motivated approach and takes ownership for problem resolution
·  Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, formal and informal)
·  Experience in successfully orchestrating work cross-functionally
·  Comfort working at a fast pace and with shifting priorities
·  Accountability and acts with integrity and transparency, meet deadlines and will be a trusted resource for the team
