Assist with the development, design and bring-up of the next generation of IoT servers. Works with internal teams and senior engineers evaluate features and make recommendations on next generation edge computing platforms and solutions. Assist with feasibility studies, design margin and validation analyses and empirical testing on new and modified designs. Evaluates reliability of materials, properties, designs, and techniques used in production and makes recommendations that will enhance product reliability. Able to work with ODMs/OEMs and support personnel on individual tasks during the design development, bring-up and validation phases of product development.

Responsibilities

·  Able to handle design work for computer systems for use both inside the traditional datacenter (IT) as well as outside the datacenter (OT).
·  Able to work under senior engineers and architects, providing both timely and accurate feedback and project status while also being able to accept technical input and guidance and effectively apply this to the project being developed or worked on.
·  Designs engineering solutions for electrical and electronic parts, subsystems, integrated circuitry, and algorithms based on established engineering principles and in accordance with development technology practices and guidelines.
·  Collaborates and communicates with internal and outsourced development partners on electrical hardware design and development.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates should be familiar with high-reliability servers. Candidate should also have an understanding of embedded computer systems. Test, measurement and industrial automation controls system experience is a plus. Must also have good communication skills. Experience with CAD, FPGA, and other design tools is also required. Candidates should have familiarity with Linux, Windows and server environments. Experience with enterprise class server management is a plus. Education and experience requirements are a BSEE or MSEE with 0 or more years of applicable job experience.
