HPE’s summer internship program runs between 10-12 weeks, is project based, and includes a final presentation with recommendations to senior leaders.  Assignments are based on business needs as well as candidate interest and skills.  The internship program feeds our full-time Finance Leadership Development Program designed to accelerate your career with Hewlett Packard Enterprise.  Striving for diversity is one of the program objectives as we believe diversity drives innovation. 

The Finance team manages the overall financial impact of organizational decisions and activities in order to improve HPE's business performance.  Finance is a global resource shared by all parts of our business to help them become better managed and control their accounting flows. We provide strategic financial consultancy, training and ensure compliance with legal, tax and internal requirements.

EXPECTATIONS:  

·  Intern will work on one or more projects directly relevant to both HPE’s success and direction in Canada
·  Intern will need to collaborate with coworkers across multiple organizations, including Finance, Sales, and Operations
·  Intern will work in the Mississauga, Ontario office. No travel will be required
·  Intern will present project outcomes to multiple business leaders

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:  

·  Pursuing a degree in accounting, business administration, finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or information systems
·  Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
·  Experience in large dataset analysis
·  Experience in financial modelling
·  Excellent business application skills (Microsoft Excel, Access, Power BI)
·  Excellent interpersonal communication, presentation, and critical thinking skills
·  Some coding experience preferred
