About the Federal Sector Field Logistics Technician

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Pointnext is currently seeking highly qualified and motivated candidates for a Federal Sector Field Logistics Technician for a position on a secure government site at a location outside the Continental US (OCONUS).

In this role, you will work and live in the United Kingdom, providing onsite Logistics and technical support to one of our larger Federal customers.

In this full-time position, you will use your background in field Logistics support and technical customer service, as well as your technical knowledge and training, to manage a strategic client relationship in this area. Based on the clients’ needs, the support services you will provide include planning, scheduling and coordinating demand/supply management for required parts. There will also be an opportunity to assist with reactive break/fix support and installations in server, networking, and storage environments.

This position requires a current active TS-SCI clearance, and will require a US Government background check and fingerprinting for site access badges. As a result, US citizenship is required.

You’ll have opportunity to work on the products we deliver and support, while gaining experience as a Field Logistics Technician, which can lead to future careers within HPE.

This position:

·  will include an Alternate Work Schedule (likely to alternate between four 12-hour days one week, with three 12-hour days the following week, but subject to change based on the needs of the business)
·  will participate on a rotation basis in after-hours / on call coverage
·  will, on a regular basis, routinely lift and carry 50+ pounds

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

·  Support advanced- and complex-level Logistics processes for special or non- typical assignments independently
·  identify complex, special, or undocumented areas for process improvement and collaborate with site team, customer, and supply chain to develop recommendations
·  provide training and mentorship support; developtraining/documentationmaterials
·  provide troubleshooting and problem-solving support of complex problems
·  develop and maintain an understanding of the basic structure and responsibilities outlined in the current customer contract
·  manage individual customer expectations of on-site logistics delivery
·  receive input from site technical support team for the purposes of sparing
·  respond to requests for logistics and technical information from customer
·  own and manage knowledge-sharing within the workgroup
·  maintain all host-country documentation associated with the overseas assignment (e.g. passport/visa, etc.) along with all required documentation associated with work on the government site
·  perform other duties as needed and assigned

Requirements

·  Currently holds a TS/SCI security clearance with CI-CT polygraph, or is able to attain the clearance
·  As a result, US citizenship is required

Education and Experience Required

·  6+ years’ experience in materials management and/or distribution
·  Associate’s degree or equivalent study in computer technologies
·  Without an Associate’s or higher level degree, an additional 2 years’ relevant experience, for a total of 8+ years
·  Experience troubleshooting enterprise computer technologies is a plus

Knowledge and Skills Required

·  Excellent understanding of process workflows, basic business and financial controls, and procurement processes
·  Advanced analytical aptitude; technical aptitude desired
·  Excellent understanding of corporate compliance
·  Strong project management skills
·   Adaptable to evolving work routines and customer requirements
·  Willing to working in a remote overseas location
·  Works well in teams and also independently, as required
·  Able to communicate with customers and leadership confidently and demonstrate professionalism
·  Demonstrates a broad understanding of customer mission requirements
·  Fluency with Microsoft Office suite
