Our Enterprise Group (EG) combines the portfolio of Enterprise Servers, Storage, Networking and Technology Services to solve the complexities of the extended enterprise and deliver advanced solutions and services to our global, commercial and public sector and SMB customers throughout the regions.
In this position you will be researching customer environments to understand customer configurations, workloads, and specific use cases of the 3Par StoreServ in their IT environment and develop and execute experimental / run ahead / regression testing. You will also reproduce customer specific issues and work with development teams to resolve and eliminate customer bugs. Shall develop a proactive approach to eliminate bugs prior to SE and HW Release. You will interact with Development Engineers and Architects, Customer Account Team Personnel, HPE Customer Support Personnel, and in some cases directly with the Customer. This job requires a Systems Engineer Mentality to understand all of the components HW and SW in the Customer Environment and day to day customer usage and challenges.

Knowledge and experience of IT Systems and Solutions with Emphasis on Storage including all or a subset of the following:
HPE Storage products – 3PAR StoreServ, StoreVirtual, StoreOnce, File Persona, RMC, Nimble
Storage products from other vendors - EMC, NetApp, Hitachi, Pure…
HPE ProLiant servers or servers from other vendors
Applications such as Oracle DB, MS-SQL, MS-Exchange, NetBackup, CommVault...
Operating systems and hypervisors, e.g. VMWare, ESX, Hyper-V, Windows 2008, 2012, and 2016, Linux (RedHat & SUSE)
Networking and authentication - AD, LDAP, VLAN, IPV4/6, network switches and routers,
Storage Architecture and theory - SAN, FC, FC zoning, SCSI, iSCSI, SAS, HBA’s
Coding, Scripting, and Automation
Test Skills from a Customer use Case Perspective
Knowledge and Experience with Regression / Experimental / New Feature testing of New Product Introduction, Maintenance Updates, and Patches.
Customer Focused Test Plan Design and Development
Customer Focused Test Execution
Customer like Configuration Design and Development and Implementation
Experience researching customer issues and configuration information and experience using the tools to do this including:
Bugzilla, Stats, Infosight, CFI Tracker, Sudden Impact
Experienced with using Testing tools and applications to create customer equivalent workloads such as:
VDBench, Hazard, IOzone, SwingBench, DiskSPD, Oracle DB, SQL, NetBackup,
Experience with additional test tools including:
Quality Center (ALM), Bugzilla, Quarch, Wireshark, FC analyzers, SAS Analyzers…..
Debug, Triage, Trouble Shooting
Superior system troubleshooting, problem solving, and diagnostic skills
Strong Professional Skills including:
Teamwork and Collaborating with Managers, Development Engineers, Test Engineers, Customer Support Engineers, and Customers.
