As a Presales Consultant within HPE’s Hybrid IT team, you will be part of an industry-leading organization, engaged in promoting HPE’s leading portfolio of products and solutions to customers in the UK & Ireland. Our Presales technical consultants work in partnership with our sales teams and partner organisations to build strong relationships with our customers, and work on specific opportunities. Whilst working as a presales consultant, you will participate in defining, developing, and supporting the sales process for technology and solutions, whist aligning with HPE’s internal career development framework.

The Enterprise Servers Presales Consultant role is aligned to our focus server offerings that differentiate in the market, such as HPE Synergy, a composable software-defined infrastructure that is changing the dynamics and economics in the data centre, and HPE Oneview, our infrastructure management platform. The role is aligned to HPE Service Providers and System Integrators, where the presales consultant is required to influence technical stakeholders, to sell to and through on behalf of an extended customer base.

Responsibilities

·  Technical competency of the breadth and depth of the HPE portfolio in our core infrastructure solutions (servers, storage, networking and management) as part of our Hybrid IT strategy, in addition to understanding of market technologies and trends
·  Build a technical relationship with clients to become a ‘trusted advisor’
·  Position solutions with customers to meet their requirements and challenges
·  Deliver product demonstrations and presentations
·  Architect, size and configure solutions using HPE tools
·  Deliver Proof of Concepts, provide answers to RFIs & RFPs and build ROI or TCO business cases

Required Skills, Experience and Education:

·  2 - 4 years of experience in an IT or technical presales role
·  Bachelor’s degree (completed prior to start date) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or relatedScientific/Quantativefields (minimum grade 2:1)
·  Proactive and enthusiastic – must drive positive, proactive engagement with peers, HPE account teams and customers
·  Strong presentation and consultative skills
·  Excellent organization skills
·  Technical competency and passion
·  Excellent oral and written English communication skills
·  Driving license
