The Deal Governance (DG) Operations team enables and manages Sales and Pursuit teams through deal governance (Solution Opportunity Approval & Review (SOAR) Policy) to minimize HPE Pointnext business risk exposure in expediently pursuing customer business.

The team facilitates the SOAR approval process to authorize commitment of HPE resources and pricing of any HPE Pointnext custom service opportunity that meets SOAR criteria. Our key stakeholders are Pursuit and Sales who are responsible for engaging in the proper approval process according to their opportunity.

The Deal Governance Consultant is responsible for supporting, advising on and facilitating this approval process via SOAR events. More specifically, the Consultant ensures adherence to DG Policy and guidelines by organizing and facilitating approval events in an accurate and consistent manner ensuring compliance.

Job specifics/responsibilities:

·  Responsible for consistent, efficient and accurate application of the SOAR governance process
·  Complete and thorough understanding of the global Deal Governance Policy. Ability to identify and provide feedback for making policy and associated process and system changes. Implements those changes worldwide to support the effectiveness of SOAR
·  Liaises with internal approvers, reviewers and bid stakeholders to make sure proper due diligence is in place
·  Manages approvals in a timely and effective manner; ensures approvers and approver levels/routes are accurately identified as per SOAR Matrix; determines SOAR documentation requirements and communicates to SOAR requestor in line with process guidelines; organizes approval events and facilitates them (via conference call) in conformance with approval meeting protocol; produces precise and factual meeting minutes reflecting the key points and/or actions as an outcome of the approval event; files evidence for actions‘ completion in the respective SOAR repository
·  Performs quality and consistency check of the SOAR documentation; reverts back to SOAR requestor in case any amendments/additions required and assures follow-up and completion; uploads final versions of the SOAR documentation and related correspondence to the SOAR approval repository using a pre-defined naming convention
·  Chairs and participates in SOAR meetings. Ensures the SOAR process is followed; sponsors opportunities to the next higher SOAR level as appropriate and obtains all required approvals per policy
·  Escalates to management any deviations/exceptions from the approval guidelines; ensures the appropriate explanation/justification is obtained and added to the SOAR approval repository
·  Creates entries in reporting tool upon completion of each approval event
·  Provides training to all stakeholders on programs and processes based on WW guidance

Requirements:

·  First level University degreee
·  3 years + experience in deal approval process and/or project/support coordination roles
·  Fluency in English language (both verbal and written)
·  Strong PC skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, SFDC 
·  Team player
·  Ability to execute business process
·  Strong business acumen
·  Self-starter and flexible
·  Time management skills and ability to work with tough deadlines
·  Ability to work individually with no close supervision
·  Ability to follow a complex process and to interface with multiple functions and organizations
·  Self-organized and structured
·  Knowledge of HPE Pointnext Portfolio
·  Ability to consistently apply knowledge of Deal Governance Policy
·  Strong knowledge of Pursuit Processes
·  Ability to consistent apply supporting tool set for SOAR tool approval (waivers, PSR etc.)
·  Ability to articulate/explain a process to non experts
