DCAA Technical Accountant

  

Job Description:

   

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

·  Lead process to assemble and review financial data needed annually for HPE’s incurred cost data submission
·  Create and/or review all government contract vouchers with knowledge of contract requirements
·  Assist in DCAA provisional overhead rates calculation and review processes
·  Analyze and track actual and forecast Government contract costs and funding.
·  Provide assistance as requested regarding cost and pricing data related to Request for Quotations (RFQ) and Request for Proposals (RFP).
·  Maintain HPE DCAA web site with direct labor and indirect rates, relevant accounting policies and government contract information
·  Own Estimating System and Government Furnished Property business system process documents as well as indirect rate related DCAA policy documents and manage the annual or biannual review and update cycle
·  Support DCAA audit data requests as required.
·  Perform journal entries, maintain and reconciles ledger accounts
·  Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Required:

·  Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration.  Certification as a Public Accountant preferred.
·  Minimum of 10 years of Accounting experience which includes 2 years of work experience from one or more of the following areas:  financial analysis, cost estimating, cost accounting and government pricing.
·  Knowledge of current regulatory environments related to the submission of proposals to the US Government, including Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS).
·  Previous experience working with and understanding US government contract types and the calculation of and application of indirect rates to proposals and contracts.
