We are looking for a Cloud Software Engineer to develop applications on Aruba Cloud Platform. Aruba is a leading Enterprise Networking company, part of Silicon Valley Tech Powerhouse HP Enterprises. Aruba Cloud Platform is an internally developed innovative Cloud Stack which powers Aruba Cloud Applications for Wired/Wireless Network and Service Management. These applications present highly innovative user experiences to manage the RF health for Access Points and Clients in complex network deployment solutions.

Requirements

·  Expected industry experience is 2+ years.
·  Minimum education at BS or MS level in Computer Science or related fields.
·  Production experience coding applications using Python will accept GO, Scala, or Java.
·  Experience in developing Cloud Applications using modern technologies in the area of system, device or network management.
·  Development experience of API’s and backend modules.
·  Thorough knowledge and experience of using REST API (frameworks like Jersey, Spring)
·  Strong working knowledge of contemporary Persistence Technologies – RDBMs and No-SQL.
·  Solid grasp of computer science/software engineering concepts around data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, distributed computing and cloud computing paradigms
·  Ability to quickly learn, develop working experience and thought leadership in new technologies and tools

Desired

·  Experience coding cloud applications and embedded systems strongly preferred
·  Thorough knowledge and experience of transport protocols like WebSockets, gRPC etc.
·  Proven abilities to prepare necessary Design Specifications, participate in Design and Code Reviews and work with Customer Support Teams for Customer Escalations.
·  Experience with messaging systems like RabbitMQ and Kafka
·  Day-to-day working knowledge of contemporary source code development tools and techniques (e.g. GIT, Maven, Eclipse, Node Package Manager, Gulp, Grunt)
·  Demonstrated abilities to work with QA and Remote Teams
·  Working knowledge of Hazelcast, ZooKeeper, etc.
·  Working knowledge of 802.11 and experience building features for 802.11.
·  Familiarity with at least one flavor of Linux (preferably CentOS/RHEL) and container technologies like Docker
