About the ArcSight Content / System Engineer – Federal Account

HPE Pointnext is actively recruiting individuals to deliver our industry-leading ArcSight Security platform to our Federal customer. We are currently seeking highly qualified and motivated individuals for a role as an ArcSight Content / System Engineer working predominantly at a Federal customer site in the metro San Antonio, TX area.

As a member of our ArcSight Professional Services team, you will use your Cyber Security,Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and Log collection experience to assist our government clients in leveraging the ArcSight suite to provide security incident monitoring across their environment.

This position requires an active Federal TS / SCI security clearance. As a result, US citizenship is required.

You’ll have an opportunity to work on the products we deliver and support, while gaining experience as an ArcSight Content / System Engineer, which can lead to future careers within HPE.

Responsibilities

As an ArcSight Content / System Engineer, your responsibilities will be broad and may vary depending on your level of experience and skills. They may include:

·  participating in the operation of a Global ArcSight SIEM system, to include ArcSight ESM, ADP, ArcMC, SmartConnectors, Logger appliances, Windows and Linux servers, and a variety of network and security-related devices
·  implementing all or part of the technical solution for the client, in accordance with an agreed-upon technical design
·  developing and deploying content for a complex and growing ArcSight infrastructure, including use cases that involve Dashboards, Active Channels, Reports, Rules, Filters, Trends, and Active Lists
·  tuning ArcSight performance and event data quality to maximize ArcSight system efficiency
·  applying Configuration Management disciplines to maintain hardware / software revisions, ArcSight content, security patches, hardening, and documentation
·  coordinating and conducting event collection, log management, event management, compliance automation, and identity monitoring activities
·  providing technical leadership on specific integration activities that are part of an engagement
·  performing other duties as needed or assigned

Qualifications

This position requires an active Federal TS / SCI security clearance. As a result, US citizenship is required.

Education and Experience Required

·  8+ years’ professional experience in Security and Technical consulting
·  Bachelor of Arts / Science or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related area of study
·  Without a Bachelor’s or higher level degree, three additional years of relevant professional experience (11+ years in total)

Knowledge and Skills Required

·  2+ years’ experienceusing ArcSight Security Information and Event Management products, to include ArcSight Connectors, Logger, and Enterprise Security Manager (ESM)
·  1+ years’ hands-on ArcSight experience, developing and managing use cases and content, Dashboards, Active Channels, Reports, Rules, Filters, Trends, Active Lists, etc.
·  2+ years’ Linux experience
·  2+ years’ security experience
·  1+ years’ data analysis experience
·  1+ years’ consulting experience
·  8570 engineering certification (CISSP, CASP, Security+ CE)

Knowledge and Skills Preferred

·  Information Security Certification(s) such as ISSEP, GSEC, GCIA, GSLC, CEH are strongly desired
·  Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or (MCITP), Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or equivalent
·  Programming languages: Perl, VBS, RegEx, Boolean, and Scripting skills
·  Experience with common security devices, such as IDS, routers, switches, hubs, and firewalls, etc.
·  Ability to own and produce customer documentation; ability to translate technical details into concise and easy to understand written form
