We are now looking for an AI/Big Data Presales Solutions Architect to join our team in Germany.

AI/Big Data Presales Solution Architect (f/m/d)

As a Presales Solutions Architect, you will partner with customers, HPE BlueData/ MapR Sales and several other teams to craft highly scalable, flexible and resilient Big Data/AI/ML architectures that address customer business problems and accelerate the adoption of BlueData/MapR services. In collaboration with sales, you will drive revenue growth across a broad set of customers. As a trusted customer advocate, the Solution Architect will help organizations understand best practices around advanced Big Data/AI/ML solutions, and how to accelerate business outcomes either on-prem or in the cloud. You will have the opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy to build mindshare within enterprise customers. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated with a proven track record in software/technology sales or consulting. The ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical to a Solution Architect. You should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges.

Here are some other qualities we are looking for:

·  Have a passion for educating, training, designing, and building technical solutions for a diverse and challenging set of enterprise customers.
·  Have a strong understanding of large scale analytic solutions (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, TensorFlow, JupyterHub, Docker). The ideal candidate will have past experience working as a systems or support engineer, and have pre-sales experience. The candidate will continue to keep their existing technical skills honed and developing new ones, so you can make strong contributions to deep architecture discussions. You will regularly take part in deep-dive education and design exercises to create world-class solutions built on MapR/BlueData.

Roles and Responsibilities:

·  In partnership with the sales team, formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives
·  As a key member of the business development and sales team, ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services onto BlueData
·  Educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of BlueData, and participate in deep architectural discussions
·  Conduct one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering BlueData to help drive new business or renewals
·  Author / contribute to technical community / customer-facing publications such as whitepapers, blogs, webinars, etc…
·  Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to become the leading trusted advisor in the analytics space
·  Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support
·  Open to travel

Basic Qualifications:

·  5+ years design/implementation/consulting experience with distributed applications (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, TensorFlow)
·  3+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking
·  Technical degree required; Computer Science or equivalent
·  2+ years relevant experience in technology/software sales or pre-sales consulting

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
·  Experience architecting/operating solutions related to Big Data/AI/ML on-premises or in the cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure)
·  Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and developers
·  Excellent communication skills with an ability to right level conversations
·  Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
·  Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
·  Familiarity with common enterprise services (Hadoop, Apache tools, Docker, Networking, etc....), products (Cloudera, Hortonworks, DataBricks, TensorFlow, etc…)

Part time working and job sharing are applicable to this position.
