Intern - Corporate Sales (based in Paris, duration 6 months approx)

Position Summary:

The Corporate Sales Intern will assist the corporate associates in the development of individual business traveller business through the full RFP process: RFP support, dedicated actions to increase Hilton brand awareness and usage towards customers.

Base location: Sales Office, Hilton Paris Orly hotel.

Duration of Internship: Jan or Feb 2017 to June/July2017

What will I be doing?

Sales & Marketing missions:

The Intern will assist the Account Managers in the preparation of the contracting period. The Intern may also be invited on sales calls and other missions (workshops, presentations at TMC offices, client meetings...). Responsibilities will include setting up actions to build customer loyalty and evaluating new clients' potential. Tasks will include: Creation and follow up of mailings, promotional offers, hotel openings and worldwide newsletter. Other tasks will include: coordinating sales calls and reports, solicitations for corporate contracting and follow ups. The Intern will also be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks to assist the general organisation and set-up of the office.

Languages: French & English are mostly used in internal and external communications. The trainee will acquire a vast knowledge of English hospitality industry vocabulary.

Computer Skills: Optimize Outlook knowledge; Creation and updates of existing PowerPoint presentation, Database update and use of Excel to create statistics

The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, well-organized, extremely detail-oriented and an assertive team player, willing to take ownership of responsibilities, and possess a high level of positive energy and drive.

Excellent time management, organizational, coordination and communication (verbal and written) skills ar required. The successful candidate will be able to effectively communicate while employing diplomacy with high level executives within the organization on a global scale. The Intern will be capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously with little supervision. They should have the ability to manage multiple priorities and be able to complete assignments on time, or advise in advance of any delays.

Required Qualifications/Experience

Currently studying towards a degree

Fluency in written and spoken English

Fluency in written and spoken French

Advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
