Job Summary: The Senior Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring and improving overall quality levels of products manufactured at the Seabrook, NH facility. The Senior Quality Engineer will report to the Senior Quality Manager and will oversee the day to day problem solving, root cause analysis (RCA) and process improvement activities that result in higher outgoing quality levels.

Key areas of focus will be resolving customer complaints, nonconforming material processing processes, continuous process improvement, data collection/analysis, leading structured problems solving initiatives, utilizing six sigma tools and methodologies, CAPA, quality training and communication efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Coordinate customer complaints. Lead investigations with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, product development, sales, customer service and technical service. Utilize standard work processes combined with agreed upon customer formats and protocols when required. Facilitate problem solving sessions, progress review meetings or telephone conferences. Facilitate access to key information, samples, or other resources needed to achieve success. Determine root cause and corrective actions and develop project plans to drive change. Report monthly progress metrics.
· Manage the Non-conforming material review (NCMR) Program. Lead investigations to troubleshoot plant issues and reject batches. Utilize statistical analytical techniques to identify sources of variation and opportunities to improve. Determine key causes of out of spec batches and work to implement effective countermeasures to reduce/eliminate over time. Determine root cause and corrective actions and develop project plans to drive change. Report monthly progress metrics.
· Manage the blocked inventory process in the plant. Reduce blocked stock plant wide by agreed upon percentage metric. Check for inventory accuracy on blocked stock/ make corrections as required. Work with QC Supervisor to identify rework opportunities in schedule and work with Operations to maximize reincorporation into product stream. Work with Material Review Board to obtain timely dispositions on blocked stock.
· Coordinate completion of customer surveys, quality manuals and agreements.
· Coordinate completion of plant Specification Reviews and PPAP activity.
· Coordinate document control for plant in Henkel HIMDOC database.
· Work with floor supervisors and operators to develop a list of continuous improvement initiatives for the plant. Prioritize initiatives and follow up on actions to ensure completion. Determine necessary resources and costs to complete initiatives.
· Participate as a member of the internal audit team. Conduct internal audits, assign and drive corrective action tasks to completion, and perform verification and effectiveness reviews as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

·  Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry or relevant Science discipline
·  3-5+ years experience within chemical manufacturing or closely related industry
·  Knowledge and experience with ISO/QS standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001)
·  Experience utilizing Six Sigma, 8D, and A3 tools preferred
·  Proven success troubleshooting complex problems within manufacturing environment
·  Ability to perform root cause analysis, resolve customers quality complaints while working cross functionally with operations
·  Effective communication and collaboration skills across all levels of the organization
·  Excellent project management and organization skills
·  Adhesives, sealants or coatings experience preferred
·  cGMP and SAP proficiency is a plus
·  Willingness to travel occasionally, up to 10%
Physical Requirements:
The employee will work in an office and manufacturing plant atmosphere with occasional travel to customer or supplier manufacturing sites to support and/or audit. There are no specific physical requirements for this job.
