The Environmental Engineer has responsibility for leading initiatives and overseeing processes to drive improvement in utilization energy and water, waste generation, and regulatory compliance. The position is responsible for interfacing with local and federal environmental regulatory agencies and collaborating with the plant leadership team and plant operating teams to strengthen compliance and reduce sustainability footprint.

· Process owner for hazardous waste management, environmental reporting, permit renewal and management, storm water discharge and monitoring, wastewater management.
· Management of air, storm water, and wastewater permits.
· Leader for ISO 14001 compliance and internal audits.
· Reporting and management of regulatory correspondence, and key performance indicators.
· Training and skill development with respect to sustainability.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Who we are looking for

·  Bachelor's Degree in environmental engineering or related scientific or engineering field or equivalent.
·  3+ years' experience
·  Knowledge of state, federal, and environmental regulations and programs.
·  Technical environmental engineering experience in manufacturing setting.
·  Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
·  Demonstrated ability to collaborate and lead improvement initiatives.
·  Problem solving skills.
·  Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively within a team environment, while exhibiting ownership for results.
·  Knowledge of ISO 14001 a plus.
