Job Description

Analyst (Associate Level) for Portfolio Management, including Strategic Sectors (ENR, Real Assets), Corporate and Leveraged activities managed by Americas Portfolio Management. Responsibility includes the management of the assets following closing, held primarily within the assigned portfolios. The Strategic Sectors Americas business covers financing for Energy & Natural Resources clients, Aviation and Aviation-related clients and Project Finance transactions. Corporate and Leveraged activities cover Natixis' corporate relationships as well as its activity in the Leveraged Finance corporate/investment banking business.

Primary Responsibility:

Direct credit quality monitoring of a dedicated portfolio of loans or companies from closing to maturity. Under the direct responsibility of the AMP Sector Leader, he/she must remain close to Originators' needs in the management of their client relationship, and simultaneously be independent in making credit and portfolio recommendations.

·  Fully engaged in the activities of Portfolio Management and its client portfolio with a view to generally support (together with OSD) the commercial franchise of the bank and revenue for the bank while minimizing risks
·  Prepare annual reviews, renewals, amendments, waivers, ratings, watchlist files for assigned transactions
·  Calculate and propose ratings before submission to Supervisor for revision and then to Credit Risk for validation
·  Prepare and update financial models
·  Anticipate risk evolution for transactions and identify and escalate risk deteriorations in a timely manner
·  Prepare quarterly portfolio review or, more frequently, in stress environment
·  Manage exposures under limits
·  Anticipate risk evolution across the portfolio, discuss portfolio allocation/risk mitigation with SAO
·  Work cooperatively with other departments in Natixis to ensure proactive portfolio management and communication of critical information

New Business

·  After deal closed and as soon as all documentation is available, organize the execution and transfer of the transaction(s), with the transaction deal teams involved according to the deal transfer process
·  Control the appropriate entering of the transaction(s) and ongoing reporting into the reference systems of the bank
·  Support the exposure and RWA management objectives set by the bank either in primary or secondary markets

Asset Management and Optimization

·  Prepare and present quarterly Strategic Sectors and/or Corporate/Leveraged portfolio updates with the AMP Sector Leader and assist in the preparation as required of the Strategic Sector and/or Corporate/Leveaged quarterly portfolio update. These reports should be dynamic and include ratings migration, portfolio performance metrics, as well as impact on Liquidity, RWA, Expected Loss, lessons learned with the view to anticipate portfolio risk and profitability
·  Manage exposures under established limits and escalate any excesses
·  Instruct appropriate corrections to Middle Office when errors are detected and report any significant deviation to management (data quality)
·  Prepare and review Annual Reviews and Renewals for Strategic Sectors and/or Corporate/Leveraged transactions to be reviewed by AMP Head and Originations
·  Prepare Technical / non-Technical Waivers and recommend to AMP Head / Credit Risk
·  Prepare and submit all Watchlist and provision recommendations to AMP Head & OSD and all transactions in WL3 or WL2 should be prepared in cooperation with DRAS
·  Assist the Strategic Allocation and Optimization team to optimize the portfolios in conjunction with the AMP Head based on forward looking anticipation

Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience

·  2 – 3+ years of relevant experience
·  Advanced knowledge of corporate credit and financial analysis required
·  Prior knowledge of Strategic Sectors and/or corporate analysis
·  Master of Business Administration (or equivalent) preferred; Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university required
·  CFA or progress towards CFA designation preferred
·  Fluency in Spanish and/or French useful
·  Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
·  Strong quantitative/analytic skills
·  Ability to work independently and multi-task. Able to work collaboratively with internal partners
·  Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) writes clearly and concisely, speaks effectively, provides well-thought-out solutions, communicates appropriate information
·  Able to manage multiple priorities, working under pressure to meet deadlines and the ability to respond creatively and quickly in a fast-paced and changing environment
·  Able to analyze problems proactively to identify solutions prior to escalation
