Social media intern

Job description

We're looking for a part-time social media intern to join us at FQ Magazine for a four-month internship, with the potential for a paid position on successful completion.

We're an online lifestyle magazine and website that's been around for 15 years and celebrates fatherhood and parenthood, plus the lifestyle changes that come with it. Our output ranges from interviewing the likes of Mark Wahlberg and Harry Kane to reviewing the latest pushchairs.

The role includes looking after our social media (Twitter, Facebook and Instagram) and network (Linkedin) accounts. From uploading stories from our website and digital magazine to posting videos and searching out creative strategies to get us noticed. Finding social media influencers to work is something we're keen on too. Your overall aim is to help increase FQ's online traffic, readership and general online presence.

The role is mainly mobile, but we try and meet up in central London once a week – we're a small, friendly team and like to keep up keep face-to-face contact as we think that's important. So being within easy reach of London is needed.

The hours are flexible but all we ask is that you're available to commit to at least two days' worth a week.

Ideally we're looking for someone who is social media savvy, enthusiastic and with ideas. Previous experience in this type of role is of course helpful, but not essential.
