Role Summary/Purpose

As the Training Manager you will provide expertise in analyzing technical learning needs for the business or function then design and deliver training solutions. Department has a supportive role in knowledge management gathering data and storing them in a system.
Essential Responsibilities

Provides expertise in analyzing learning needs, designing training solutions for a business or function.  Focused on technical training essential for a particular business or function, and does not include Leadership Learning, which falls within HR. Includes trainers and coordinators whose main task is to deliver the training content or make logistical arrangements for training programs. Plans differing activities on the basis of a predefined year plan.

Identify internal and external training programs to address competency gaps
Partner with internal stakeholders regarding employee training needs
Develop training aids such as manuals and handbooks
Organize, develop or source training programs to meet specific training needs
Liaise with subject matter experts regarding instructional design
Inform employees about training options
Map out training plans for individual employees
Present training programs using recognized training techniques and tools
Facilitate learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, virtual training, on-the-job coaching
Design and apply assessment tools to measure training effectiveness
Track and report on training outcomes
Provide feedback to program participants and management
Evaluate and make recommendations on training material and methodology
Maintain updated curriculum database and employee training records
Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment
Keep current on training design and methodology
Host train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts
Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills and KPIs
Gather feedback from trainers and trainees after each educational session
Hands on training as deemed necessary
Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. Minimum of 3 additional years of experience in Training Design and Delivery.
