Role Summary/Purpose

We are looking for a Thesis Worker to work on one of three current development projects. Web interface design will be crucial part of the projects. Working will be done in guidance of our experienced software engineer. End users of the created new systems are sitting next to you, some are global third-party users. We aim to develop new, maintainable solutions that fully interface to existing database management systems (RDBMS), which runs on Windows server and UI is Windows PC.
Essential Responsibilities

There are three new project scenarios available, depending on your skills and interests: 

·  A web-based translation proofreading system, based on the DB server 
·  A web-based translation editing tool, based on current client server application on the DB server 
·  API development between a commercial application and existing application on the DB server
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor / Master student in Computer Science or equivalent
·  Full stack development skills 
·  Programming skills in Windows environment with Java, PL-SQL, JavaScript, HTML/CSS and Regex
·  Server admin skills of Windows Server 2012 r2 and Apache Tomcat Webserver
·  Knowledge of development tools, version management (ClearCase, Git), bundling, linting, CSS preprocessing and testing tools
·  Finnish and English language skills, as you will be part of a Finnish speaking team in an English-speaking company
Desired Characteristics

·  Linguistic interest and understanding foreign scripts is a plus
·  Lots of curiosity and willingness to learn
