Role Summary/Purpose

This is an exciting, technical role, with an emphasis on skilled enterprise software delivery. System Integrators have the technical responsibility for supporting the deployment and operation of enterprise software, with a focus on technical analysis and support, Deploying enterprise software and working within a highly skilled team to execute software deployment, software configuration and operational testing.
Essential Responsibilities

Working as part of the GE’s Grid Software Solutions (SWS) Maintenance & Support team 
• Identifying and quickly resolving software and related IT issues both with deployed software and in operational environments 
• Supporting customers through the full software life-cycle 
• Performing technical analysis to diagnose software issues, and propose technical resolutions 
• Ensure a smooth transfer to maintenance of ending projects through coordinated knowledge transfer 
• Work closely with customers, partners and internal teams to resolve complex software and IT related issues 
• Create and maintain excellent customer relationships, ensuring needs are met through e-mail, telephone and web 
• Use of problem solving and technical analysis to swiftly isolate and replicate software issues 
• Recreate customer environments to emulate their software and IT configuration, understanding the relationship between application, operating system and network 
• Support factory and site acceptance testing
In the context of GE’s Grid Software Solutions (SWS) Software Delivery (SwD) organization 
• Work closely with the Delivery Manager to perform technical delivery tasks to achieve an effective software delivery 
• Performing and managing the deployment of interacting complex enterprise software and software dependencies.  
• Good knowledge of IT infrastructures (e.g. High Performance Storage Systems, or IT Networks, or OS/VM environments)
In collaboration with Tendering 
• Assist tendering with the validation of the technical software and hardware requirements

Health and Safety 
• Be an exemplar of EHS best practice and follow the Zero Deviation Plan as implemented in SWS

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with proven experience in Services)
Ideal subjects: Computer Science, IT Networking, Software Development
Alternate experience in second-line support teams or system integration/software delivery 
• Highly desirable, but not necessary, to have IT certifications in the fields of Networking, Operating Systems or Cyber Security
Desirable technical Skills 
• Working knowledge of the following: RHEL Linux/CentOS Linux, including protocols TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, NTP, PTP 
• Creating and maintaining virtual environments 
• Understanding of secure remote access technologies (preferably: IPSEC VPN, SSL VPN, SSH, RDP) 
• Proficient at scripting to aid software analysis and task automation, experience with one of the following highly desirable: python, bash, powershell, javascript
