Role Summary/Purpose

We are hiring a Supply Chain-Material Buyer/Planner in Waukesha, WI . This person serves as the senior planner for a modality and has direct impact on customer fulfillment and inventory, through effective materials planning and cross functional collaboration
Essential Responsibilities

·  Overall ownership of material ordering and availability, using standard materials planning processes and tools
·  Achieve fulfillment goals in customer on-time delivery.  
·  Work with customer solutions team to resolve backorders 
·  Maintain target stocking levels, expedite or defer purchase orders as necessary
·  Drive accountability with suppliers, both internal and external
·  Work across functional and regional boundaries to resolve supply disruptions
·  Coordination with make centers, including internal supplier forecasting and allocation decisions 
·  Support process initiatives outlined by the Materials/Planning CoEs 
·  Build and maintain strong linkages with inventory, finance, sourcing, logistics, warehouse op’s, customer solutions and product life cycle 
·  Support new product introductions and engineering changes, while minimizing obsolescence 
·  Coach and mentor other buyer planners

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Minimum of a Bachelors degree and 2 years materials planning experience or supplier-facing responsibilities
·  Experience with Oracle, Servigistics, or other MRP planning system 
Desired Characteristics

·  Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office
·  Analytical skills, process improvement experience, problem solving ability 
·  Ability to lead and collaborate across multiple stakeholders
·  Certified Green Belt or Black Belt 
·  Lean/ Six Sigma experience 
·  OMLP Graduate / GE Experience 
·  APICS Certification
