Role Summary/Purpose

Uses storyboards and narrative to express how a product or service should behave to deliver capabilities in a way that supports user needs, goals, mental models and workflows.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Designs product or service behavior that creates business value for customers and GE, while meeting user needs and expressing product and corporate brand values.  
·  Demonstrates a mastery of Agile / Lean UX methodologies.  
·  Guides effective documentation and communication of design (via wireframes, mockups, and requirements engineering). 
·  Share emerging design, technology, industry, regulatory and market trends to the team or community. 
·  Builds consensus among those within a group or groups. 
·  Make design decisions based on good judgement, experience, research and data 
·  Develop high level and/or detailed storyboards, mockups, and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas. 
·  Gauge the usability of new and existing products, and making constructive suggestions for change. 
·  Work in international environment
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Interaction, Graphic, or Industrial Design preferred or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)  
·  Strong experience 
·  Demonstrated experience in designing robust and powerful web-based interfaces for complex enterprise-class products. 
·  Ability to understand complex technical requirements and distill them into a usable design. 
·  Deep understanding of design principals and industry trends. 
·  Ability to clearly present your work; you are articulate and can advocate design rationale.
·  Strong clean visual design sense.
