Role Summary/Purpose

Works on multiple projects as a technical expert or internal consultant. Works on projects for components of the domain. Works either multiple technical or functional domains. Participates in the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architect direction. Coaches and mentors team members.
Essential Responsibilities

In this role you will: 

·  Participate in the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architect direction. 
·  Assist in the analysis, design and development of a roadmap and implementation based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint. 
·  Gather and analyze data and develop architectural requirements at project level. 
·  Participate in the infrastructure architecture governance model. 
·  Support design and deployment of infrastructure solutions meeting standardization, consolidation, TCO, security, regulatory compliance and application system qualities, for different businesses. 
·  Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities. 
·  Coach and mentor team members
Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications: 

·   Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) OR equivalent years of experience 
·  A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in OR a Master’s degree in a relevant technical area

Desired Characteristics

Technical Expertise: 

·  Experience in architecting and designing Large Enterprise based IP/MPLS Network solutions. 
·  Demonstrated hands-on experience with IP Multicast, Multicast-VPNs, BGP, OSPF, Segment Routing, MP-BGP-VPNs, VLL, VPLS, VxLAN based services. 
·  Experience should include CPE configuration, service provisioning and activation. 
·  Quality of Service (QoS) and Class of Service (CoS) Technologies 
·  MPLS networking with VPLS, VPRN/VRF, LDP, RSVP-TE, FRR, VRRP/HSRP, VLL, LSPs, 802.1Q/p/x, DSCP and internetworking w/ ATM/Frame-relay/IP-CES 
·  Multicast and Multicast routing protocols: PIM-DM, PIM-SM, MBGP, MOSPF, MSDP, SSM, IGMPv3, CGMP 
·  Experience in utilizing network management tools and network diagnostic tools to help with network tuning and packet analysis. 
·  Ethernet Sniffers and Analyzers -- Network Instruments Observer, Wireshark, Network Associates SNIFFER, JDSU DA-3xxx, etc. 
·  Functional knowledge of Amazon Web Services 
·  Experience automating SDN/NFV/NFVI Infrastructure is a plus 
·  Experience with various development frameworks/technologies such as: Ansible/Ansible Tower, Java, Python, & Restful API 
·  Advanced knowledge of one or more scripting languages, Python preferred
