Role Summary/Purpose

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in test solutions development to join us. The focus of the role will be continuous improvement of test solutions & development of improved capability within our Power Systems business. We are looking for someone who will embrace the development and growth of our test solutions together with the strength to challenge the status quo and be able to direct technical teams to deliver reliable world class solutions to our customers
Essential Responsibilities

Responsible for leading a technical team to deliver the design and development of test solutions for power products and systems. You will work with suppliers and internal teams to ensure these solutions are taken to the production environment by engaging key stakeholders. The role will involve the Development of an operational plan for the solution and taking responsibility for technical engineering and the quality of the output from your team to ensure the designs are fit for purpose.  A  key part of the role is to embody a culture of continuous improvement in the team to look for ways of reducing the full life cost of test equipment solutions.  The role also offers opportunities to progress, taking on more complex projects and becoming the technical authority for your projects and for the right candidate, the opportunity to join our Chief Engineers Office representing test solutions.
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or
equivalent knowledge and experience 
·  Demonstrable knowledge of project management and the management of suppliers
·  Proven analytical and organizational ability to deliver solutions on-time, to budget and with the required quality
·  Able to coordinate several projects simultaneously, leading a project team to deliver test equipment solutions for power products 
·  Good interpersonal and leadership skills.
Ability to influence others and lead teams. 
·  An understanding of test philosophies and types of testing employed in the development of high
integrity or safety critical products.

Desired Characteristics

·  Experience of developing test solutions for
high integrity equipment. 
·  An ability to develop innovative solutions and think differently about product testing
·  Knowledge of PC based test solutions and
exposure to test tools, such

as LabVIEW orTestStand. 
·  Experience of fault tree analysis and test
diagnostics.

requirements.
