Role Summary/Purpose

Primary Focus: Creating stable software development system: Coaching teams on consistent and effective execution of Scrum Practices. The Software Agile Leader’s sphere of influence is to reach out into the business in order to coach Agile team members on how to most effectively work as an Agile Product Owner and how to interact with their Agile teams.
Essential Responsibilities

Coach teams on effective execution of Scrum ceremonies through Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, Daily Standups. Coach all the principle roles of Scrum: Product Owner, Team and Scrum Master. Coach special roles such as Business Analysts and Software Development Managers. Coach teams on effective meeting facilitation: Creating agendas, driving to desired outcomes, root cause analysis. Coach teams on Lean principles through the effective use of Kanban principles such as flow and Work in Process limits. Coach teams on how decompose high level requirements (BGOs) into User Stories using techniques such as User Story Mapping. Influence: Scrum Teams and Product Owners. Fundamentals: Scrum, Project Inception, Meeting Facilitation, Lean and Kanban.
Qualifications/Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering
and Math)
•Minimum 3 years of experience as a Scrum mentor, scrum master or product owner.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, Test Driven Development
•Ability to coach at all levels through PB to EB on Agile practices
•Passion for enabling GE to become a Digital leader
•Ability to challenge bureaucracy and drive simplification
•Minimum of 10 years of experience in the software domain
•Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
•Highly organized and detail oriented
•Effective teaming and problem solving abilities
•Some technical experience with software or infrastructure development.
Desired Characteristics

Certified Scrum Professional or Certified Enterprise Coach from Scrum Alliance
•Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science,
Technology, Engineering and Math)
•Must demonstrate technical capacity to solve problems and instantiate solutions in working code
•Strong knowledge of CI/CD practices
•Familiarity with XP techniques
•Familiarity with Oracle ERP
