Role Summary/Purpose

You'll be part of a global matrix team. Your key responsibilities will include programming a component, feature and or feature set. Works independently and contributes to the immediate team and to other teams across business. You will also contribute to design discussions, you'll help to craft software architectures on cloud (AWS/Azure/Predix), designed for quality, scalability, security, robustness and maintainability throughout the life-cycle of the product.
Essential Responsibilities

• Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts
• Ability to take ownership of small and medium sized tasks and deliver while mentoring and helping team members
• Has the ability to analyze impact of technology choices
• Helps drive pair programming practices and code reviews across the team
• Expert in writing code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
• Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems
• Skilled in core data structures and algorithms and implements them using appropriate chosen language
• Promotes transparency by proactively sharing design choices with appropriate audiences, with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness
• Demonstrates expert understanding of functional and nonfunctional requirements and their priority within the backlog
• Must have worked and be conversant with Agile Methodologies
• Strong understand of Micro-services architecture on cloud
• Design Architecture during discovery, validate UX mock-ups technically
• Responsible for technical approaches for the sprints
• Define strategies for automated deployment (CI/CD), Code quality (SonarQube) and Security (SAST/DAST)
• Hands on and sound understanding of Docker and Kubernetes, Jenkins, Security (Oauth 2.0, Static code analysis & Dynamic code analysis)
• Help PO & Scrum master for sprint planning
Qualifications/Requirements

• Qualification : Masters/Bachelors in ComputerScience with 5 years or experience OR PhD with 3 years of experience
• At least 2 hands-On technologies from each:
• Front End (Angular, Polymer, React, HTML5, CSS)
• Middleware (Node, NginX)
• Backend (Java Spring Boot, Python Django or flask)
• Relational & NoSQL DBs
• Proficient with Design Patterns
• Proven desire of exploring and executing PoCs across new Cloud tech features
• Gatekeeper of Quality (Performance(caching), Tech Debt, Security, Reuse)
• Effective communicator, both Written & Oral
• High on Emotional Quotient : very easy to work with, takes & gives informal constructive criticism
• Strong & Adaptive team player
