Role Summary/Purpose

Responsible for testing a component, feature and or feature set. Works independently and contributes to the immediate team and to other teams across business. Contributes to quality engineering discussions. Owns medium sized quality engineering tasks; and delivers while mentoring and helping team members.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Responsible for testing a component, feature or feature set. 
·  Own medium sized quality engineering tasks and deliverables. 
·  Apply principles of software development life cycle and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, Continuous Integration (CI), Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, Refactoring and Testing techniques. 
·  Work with fellow team members to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions. 
·  Provide expertise in the quality engineering, test planning and testing methodology for a software project. 
·  Develop and execute maintainable automation tests for acceptance, functional, and regression test cases.

Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

·  Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) and 5 years of progressively responsible post-Bachelor's degree related experience. 
·  Alternatively, employer will accept a Master's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) and 3 years of related experience. 
·  Position also requires 3 years of experience with manual and automated software quality assurance testing; 3 years of experience with product validation; 3 years of experience with test automation; and 1 year of experience with database management systems in the area of administration and development.
