Role Summary/Purpose

The Sr. Finance Analyst, FP&A will closely work with business leadership, GE Digital Treasury and Controllership in supporting the initiatives on Order to Revenue to cash, improving working capital, and strengthening balance sheet. The analyst will develop and lead finance processes that support the organization’s goal of cash and balance sheet initiatives.
Essential Responsibilities

The role will closely work with the business teams and provide recommendations on achieving Orders, Revenue and Cash targets. The role will critically analyze business models by reading data and providing insights to leadership on challenges that impact business, cash and working capital performance.
In addition, the role will closely work the CFOs and FP&A teams of the four segments – Grid SW, Power, Oil & Gas, and Manufacturing, on Orders to Revenue to Cash conversion process improvements, initiating systemic improvements, and cash and working capital performance improvements required by the segments. Specific responsibilities include:

·  Develop Order to revenue forecasting model and process for total Digital and initiate process and systemic improvements to enable segments predict Revenue conversion.

·  Initiate daily lean practices in Orders to Revenue tracking and create institutional best practices to avoid delay in revenue conversion.

·  Develop cash model to review actual cashflow and predict cashflow in direct and indirect spend by reviewing R&D metrics, Product costing, and Services/Support costing.

·  Develop and sustain cash forecasting model to deliver predictable and reliable cash forecast that will match with actual outcome.

·  Define and improve processes around developing and improving cash and working capital metrics to deliver metrics driven cash forecasting and cash management.

·  Partner with Treasury to identify working capital challenges and help support improvement initiatives. Develop Cash dashboard to (1) update the leadership on performance (2) identify operational drivers that impact cash and working capital performance and (3) partner with cross functional teams to improve wing to wing processes

·  Expand beyond forecasting and dashboards to map wing to wing processes from Opportunity to Cash and define improvements to accelerate billing, revenue, and collections.

·  Review Balance Sheet accounts periodically to validate balances and account reconciliation in partnership with Controllership. Identify potential Balance sheet exposure and relay the estimate to the broader FP&A team.

·  Facilitate periodical FP&A/Controllership items with FP&A, Controllership, Segment CFOs/FP&A teams and engage them to stay connected on key items of review.

·  Be the single point of contact for implementation of Orders to Revenue to Cash process and systemic improvements in Digital Data Lake and Tableau application.

·  Support / Lead finance simplification projects and process enhancements in partnership with Finance, IT and cross functional teams.
Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications

·  Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

·  Minimum 3+ years’ of finance experience, preferably in Cash and Balance Sheet.

Desired Characteristics

·  Proficient with Microsoft Office products

·  FMP / CAS

·  Experience with Software development firm including start-ups

·  Proven project management experience, including coordinating multiple people / projects simultaneously

·  Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·  Demonstrated analytical and modeling capabilities

·  Experience with Oracle, SAP, and Hyperion

·  Comfortable working in matrixed and global environments

·  Experience with MS Access or SQL or IT Project Management in functional capacity would be a plus.
