Role Summary/Purpose

You will be part of the Digital Commercial Excellence team and responsible for contributing towards building and shaping the digital customer engagement solutions for GE Digital. Responsibilities include designing and programming a small module or a large component and designing a feature, set of features, or whole feature area. Work independently and contribute to the immediate team and to other teams across business. Leads design discussion in a limited manner.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Translate business, customer experience and technical requirements to build applications using Salesforce, Communities, Apex, VisualForce, Lightning components, SOQL, SOSL, outbound messaging and integration using REST and SOAP APIs, JSON
·  Design, develop and own solutions end-to-end by working with Product Owners, Product Managers and other architects to deliver value to front-line sales teams and GE’s customers
·  Technical feasibility analysis and propose technical solutions based on requirements and industry standard best practices and promote reuse
·  Work with Product Managers to arrive at effort estimates for new requirements / changes 

·  Analyze requirements & identify gaps, where possible, propose alternate approaches based on current & future digital trends
·  Adapt to the changing environment and stay tuned with the changes on Salesforce.com and proactively propose and deliver changes 

·  Dive into crisis situations and critical Production issues, trouble-shoot, engage with Salesforce and own the problem resolution
·  Configure Salesforce.com and integrate with 3rd party tools (as needed), create and maintain new objects as well as new validation and workflow rules
·  Provide oversight and mentor team members
·  Ensure zero compromise on performance and other non-functional parameters as we deliver digital solutions for our customers 

·  Work using Agile development methodology and participate in requirements grooming sessions with business and technical teams for a rounded-perspective on the solution and creating the impact to our customers 
·  Establish self as and serve as a trusted advisor to business partners 

·  Contribute to our expanding knowledge base and repository of best practices and expertise
·  Partner with business users to define the sales leadership processes and requirements using the best practices in Salesforce.com 

·  Promote the use of Salesforce out of box solutions and balance custom developments
·  Assist with designing interfaces and information exchange between modules
·  Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on one or more major modules
·  Inspect application to ensure it meets the technical specification and minimizes the technical debt

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) 
·  8+ years of IT experience with at least 5+ years of hands on development experience in Salesforce.com (Sales / Service Cloud)
·  At least 2 years of experience working with SFDC Lightning
·  At least 2 years of experience working with SFDC Communities
·  Extensive hands-on experience in APEX and VisualForce
·  Expertise in Apex, Force.com custom development, Triggers, Controllers, Force.com SOAP and REST APIs, JSON, sObjects, SOQL, SOSL, Outbound messaging
·  Experience in configuring Salesforce.com and integrate with 3rd party tools
·  Extensive experience over creating new objects, workflows, approval processes, validation rules and sharing & security rules. 
·  Working Knowledge in Generating Reports, Dashboards, customized reports and analyzing the data in SFDC
·  Experienced in developing and administrating projects on Salesforce platform
·  Knowledge of Configuration management tools like GitHub
·  Experience working with CMS connectors for Sitecore
·  Experience with working on Digital Customer facing applications, with Communities 
·  Experience with Information architectures and Sitemaps on forums and integrating analytics like Universal Analytics, GTM, Adobe Omniture, etc
·  Self-starter and ability to work with minimal supervision 
·  Able to work well with global teams and including time-zone flexibility 
·  Excellent verbal and written communication 
·  Ability to perform in extremely dynamic environment with Agile development approach
·  Self-motivated to achieve excellence with ‘can do’ attitude
