Role Summary/Purpose
Works within the GE Power Vulnerability Management team to review and validate identified vulnerabilities, identify required remediation and work with Business and Digital application teams to prioritize and drive remediation of vulnerabilities. Maintain and improve data visualization and analysis tools to strategically drive effective remediation. Monitor vendor and third-party releases for newly identified vulnerabilities that could impact GE Power.
Essential Responsibilities
· Coordinate with GE Digital EVM team to ensure adequate vulnerability management scanning takes place for GE Power Assets. Remediate scanning defects to ensure 100% coverage.
· Work with application and P&L Security leads to ensure identified vulnerabilities are remediated within the prescribed timelines.
· Communicate results of vulnerability management scanning and vulnerabilities to application teams, P&L Security leads and to leadership.
· Track and trend remediation efforts and accomplishments.
· Utilize vulnerability management tools to run ad-hoc scans and reports.
· Uses data analysis skills and techniques to identify root cause of vulnerabilities. Propose actions to prevent vulnerabilities from being introduced in the enterprise.
· Drive automated solutions to improve the effectiveness of remediating or preventing vulnerabilities from being introduced in the network.
· Lead, develop, plan and execute broad remediation projects across Power and at times across GE.
· Develop and deliver communications verbally and written to application teams and business leaders explaining vulnerabilities, actions required, impact, due dates etc.
· Develop and maintain reports, queries, visualization tools related to the vulnerability management program. Identify opportunities for improvements and implement as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements
· Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in system, security, or network administration
· Understanding the concept of infrastructure vulnerabilities, and basic principles of IT Security and networking

· Experience with database management systems writing SQL and understanding how databases are configured. (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server)
· Basic script writing experience as well as SQL a plus
