Role Summary/Purpose

Recognized as a Global Technology expert for: Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic designs, Plastics, Computers. Manage projects of technical and commercial nature, co-responsible to build the funnel for cost out opportunities and product simplification from technical standpoint. Support various Sourcing Initiatives as Session “S”, Material Technology Changes, (MTC), Standardization, Suppliers Fairs, Transfers, supporting cost deflation targets.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Development of technology roadmaps & ensuring the usage of it in NPIs & Productivity Projects
·  Development of technically viable funnels by working closely with Commodity teams & support them building strong funnel & business case
·  Drive design reviews with suppliers & P&L, drawings modifications/changes as required with P&L engineering involvement on the productivity projects
·  Lead the development of validation & verification plan with P&L eng buy in & initiate/implement ECR/ECO as required on deflation projects
·  Manage V&V implementation & Parts Classification with strategic supply base & P&L engineering teams
·  Expert in cost drivers & process drivers of a given commodity parts/sub assemblies
·  Conduct technical seminars & engage in engineering tech council to drive latest technology trends with an approach of total cost ownership
·  Engaged in VCP funnel fest, Disruptive cost work outs & NPIs pre M0 meetings to drive right technologies & right cost
·  Work cross-functionally with Commodities, Modalities and Product Segments
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical/ Electrical/Electronics/Industrial engineering or related
·  3 -5 years’ experience in engineering/processes/technical sourcing
Desired Characteristics

·  Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college
·  Minimum of 7 years of commercial sourcing experience in all facets of the assigned commodities
·  Excellent negotiations skills and analytical skills with the ability to manage and develop supplier relationships
·  Ability to energize, develop and build rapport at all levels within an organization
·  Proven ability to execute and deliver on commitments
·  Experience implementing a compliant supply chain
·  Greenbelt certification preferred
