Role Summary/Purpose
The Qualification and Test engineers’ main role is to perform qualification and testing of Connection equipment correctly and effectively according to applicable standards, including practical parts of coordinating test set-up and test equipment. The Q&T engineer is expected to contribute in the development of the structured connection system portfolio, working as an integral part of the connection system team. Work can contain both detail design and supporting the execution of the development
Essential Responsibilities
· Set up and perform qualification according to test procedures and EHS requirements.
· Document test properly with test reports and if applicable ensure 3rd party signature before issue of test reports.
· Develop and improve the method of testing, including test procedures.
· Ensure good traceability of all testing and tested equipment.
· Participate in development Connection systems, as a designer or program manager when required
· Participate in concept, scope and design reviews within his/her area, at relevant DPP levels.
· Work across disciplines with other teams and departments to ensure experience transfer and sharing of lessons learned.
· Support and train other team members as part of manager’s pipeline strategy for critical competences and roles.
· Participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program review.
Qualifications/Requirements
· BSc or MSc in mechanical or marine engineering
· Subsea engineering experience with connection systems
· Experience of executing qualification programs for Connection systems
· Detail knowledge of relevant standards for products within the discipline, with focus on testing and qualification of connection systems.
· Demonstrated ability to work with the design team and provide feedback on the products and test methods.
· Good knowledge of relevant design tool and processes

· Ability to work independently as well as in a team
· Structured and capable to identify gaps on required test equipment and to maintain overview of available options and best way to execute efficient
· Able to work with sourcing and logistic for assisting in obtaining required test equipment
· Knowledge of Solid modelling with Pro-Engineer or other similar 3D product design CAD systems including creating and reviewing drawings
· Experience in writing/reviewing test procedures
· Solid oral and written communication skills in English
· Strong interpersonal skills
