Role Summary/Purpose

Develop manufacturing/production schedule to meet customer demands and drive material requirements for compressor units in the Reciprocating Compression division of BHGE. They will develop practical and innovative ways to identify and meet goals. You will be responsible for work that is less defined in scope, apply concepts to issues of high complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning as it relates to shop scheduling and outsource planning.
Essential Responsibilities

In the role of Production Coordinator, you will:

·  Assure that the shop has the necessary materials to achieve job-dispatch scheduled start dates and release jobs on-time to schedule

·  Review shop operation capacities required to meet internal schedule and work with shop production personnel to develop and execute production plans

·  Review unplanned job requirements and shop reserved operation capacities to optimize utilization between planned and unplanned work

·  Identify and react to schedules that do not meet Customer requirements (e.g. short cycled, unplanned, etc.)

·  Report operation on-time performance and coordinate root cause and corrective actions with Shop Operations Leaders

·  Coordinate the efforts with the Ops Leaders to resolve bottlenecks, machine maintenance, manpower issues, tools, programs, and shop capacity that impact schedules

·  Work with Manufacturing Engineering to identify and correct inaccurate routings

·  Assure timely shipments to all customers and prepare and implement work orders and plans as required

·  Communicate across multiple departments to effectively coordinate operations between manufacturing production, purchasing, and sales

·  Drive improvements in the production scheduling, shop processes, and product cost

·  Support commercial team in quoting and managing of parts

·  Assist other members of the planning team with workload issues and handle special projects, as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Associates Degree from an accredited college or university (High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution with a minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing processes in oil & gas, gas processing equipment)

·  Minimum 1 years of experience in manufacturing processes in oil & gas, gas processing equipment

Eligibility Requirements:

·  Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
Desired Characteristics

·  Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university preferred

·  Experience in interpretation of blueprints / specifications and manufacturing process planning / evaluation

·  Extremely well organized and structured

·  Strong oral and written communication skills

·  Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

·  Ability to cope with multiple complex situations daily

·  Strong analytical and problem solving skills

·  Ability to work in cross-functional, global team environment

·  Experience working and navigating SAP and associated software systems

·  Strong MS Excel skills

·  APIC certification
