Role Summary/Purpose

Reporting to the CTO, the Cloud Architect leader will work on multiple projects as a technical cloud expert participating in the domain technical and business discussions relative to future cloud architect direction. He will be responsible to coaches and mentors team members on Cloud platforms/infrastructure and services security.
Essential Responsibilities

As the Cloud Architect Leader, you will:
 

·  Participate in the domain technical and business discussions relative to future architect direction. 
·  Assist in the analysis, design and development of a roadmap and implementation based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint. 
·  Gather and analyze data and develop architectural requirements at project level. 
·  Participate in the development of software, data, and technology. 
·  Contribute to the designs and deployment of infrastructure solutions meeting standardization, consolidation, TCO, security, regulatory compliance and application system qualities. 
·  Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities.
• Partner with GE Corporate organization to adhere to their guiding principles and guardrails, part of the cross business community of Enterprise Architect 
·  Maintain and apply current knowledge of information/digital technology; keep abreast of new and emerging technologies and help determine how they can be used to add value to the business. 
·  Adopt GE best practices into RE DT as well as maximizing opportunities to leverage horizontal capabilities. 
·  Willing to travel approximately 20-30% of the time.
Qualifications/Requirements

Basic Qualifications 

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), or Digital Technology-related discipline. Masters’ degree or MBA preferred. 
·  Minimum of 5 years of experience driving enterprise-level DT initiatives / operations

Qualifications/Requirements 
·  Familiar with Cloud and Security level Architecture 
·  Strong understanding of AWS core services (VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Kubernetes, Managed Kafka etc). 
·  Experience in DevOps environment / Infrastructure operations team / Troubleshooting and root cause analysis 
·  Understand Containerization technologies (Docker) 
·  Familiar with Database Management (SQL/NoSQL) & scripting language (Shell script, Powershell, Python,..etc.) and automated configuration management tool (Chef, Ansible ..etc.) 
·  Strong understanding of design of computing or network or storage to meet business application system qualities. 
·  Understands technical and business discussions relative to future architecture direction aligning with business goals. 
·  Understands concepts of setting and driving architecture direction. 
·  Familiar with elements of gathering architecture requirements. 
·  Understands architecture standards concepts to apply to project work. 
·  Familiar with concepts of costing hardware and software components. 
·  Delivers tasks on-time with alignment to architectural goals. 
·  Knowledge of various aspects of an enterprise technology architecture like business, information, data, network and security.  
·  Knowledge of information principles and processes. 
·  Knowledge of financial models and budgeting. 
·  Understanding and knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies (such as waterfall, spiral, agile software development, rapid prototyping, incremental, synchronize and stabilize, and DevOps). 
·  Understanding and knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL).
·  Knowledge and understanding of different modeling languages (such as UML and ArchiMate).
·  Understanding and knowledge of IT standards and controls.
·  Excellent understanding of application development methodologies and infrastructure and network architecture. 
·  Excellent analytical, planning, organizational and technical and skills. 
·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
·  Ability to work with developers in an in-and-out outsourced environment.
