Role Summary/Purpose
In this role you will be supporting our European Pre Sales Solution Architecture team that provide technical ownership of proposals & technical presentations to new & existing clients. You will assist with content proposal & with the Inquiry to Order (ITO) team. The sales process is central to every successful software business, to make the right impression the Pre Sales team develop presentation collaterals & present to the customers the software focussing on the value that this brings.
Essential Responsibilities
· You will assist with preparing and configuring complex software demonstration systems for prospects and existing clients, developing the user stories and helping to build the value story.
· A secondary part of the role will include working with the European team, in building and staffing exhibitions and it would be expected that you would join one of those trips and own a demonstration.
· You will be involved with planning presentations and communication with customers, documentation of the demonstration stories, and improving the sales collaterals based on customer feedback.
· As part of this placement, you will be assigned stimulating projects with real business impact. Therefore, in addition to the relevant technical skills, a wide array of soft skills are of equal importance. Successful interns will showcase passion for success, enthusiasm to learn and grow within the role, excellent verbal and be keen to develop communication and presentation skills.
· You will need to be able to make informed decisions, problem-solve, be analytical, confident and display professionalism whilst being personable. You also need to have the ability to own up to mistakes but be resilient and self-reflective at the same time!
Qualifications/Requirements
· Degree of Study: IT, Software Engineering, Geography (with and interest in Computer Science) or Business Management with an interest in software development/or possibly Computer Studies or Engineer looking for more of a commercial or management role
· Good communication, organisation and writing skills although software development would be useful. A methodological approach to building and configuring software is essential. Being able to generate guides and scripts to be followed by the other Pre Sales Team members would be useful.
· All internships will be based in Cambridge and will involve an on site interview assessment process. This is not a full time programming role, although such skills will be useful, they are not at the forefront of the requirement.
