Role Summary/Purpose

The Tender engineer for offshore installation reports hierarchically to the Installation department Leader.
Essential Responsibilities

Covers the following functions 

·  Responsible of costings of the installation and Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) scopes on tender
·  Support the PMO ITO Coordinator with installation and M&E concepts and costing
·  Support the PMO ITO Coordinator to review Customer documentation tender package 
·  Responsible to develop and maintain up to date the standard documentation package related to installation and M&E
·  Maintain deep knowledge of the available vessel market capable in installation our offshore wind turbines

·  Review Invitation to Tender document package from Customer related to installation activities and Mechanical and Electrical completion activities 
·  Prepare onshore turbine component load out planning and offshore installation planning with and without weather downtime calculation 
·  Prepare document package and manage weather downtime calculation with subcontracting company
·  Assess and adjust weather downtime calculation 
·  Prepare costings associated to plannings for equipment’s and manpower  
·  Review tender package documentations and prepare risks list associated to the scope in terms strategy, technology, methodology proposed by customer 
·  Prepare clarification and deviation lists together with the sales team 
·  Responsible to develop and maintain up to date the standard documentation package related to installation and M&E 
·  Participate to management meeting for tender reviews 
·  Prepare request for quotation for vessels and manpower 
·  Maintain close relationship for installation vessel companies to understand market, vessel capabilities with respect to the GE offshore wind turbines  
·  Coordinate drafting activities for installation drawings if need be 
·  Manage the interface with planning requirements (scenarios evaluations with one vessel, two vessels, period for operation) and with marshalling harbor.

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Significant relevant experience in Offshore industry preferably wind industry 
·  Offshore operations - field experience 
·  Heavy lift with vessels cranes and/or onshore cranes 
·  Vessel operations
·  Bolt tightening operations
·  Knowledge in electrical engineering for cable deployment and cable connections
·  Offshore wind farm technologies
·  EU Work Permit

If contracted in Spain:

Non-national candidates are responsible to know the minimum documentation requirements to be able to be contracted in country: NIE- Social Security Affiliation Number in Spain (NAF) and Bank Account in Spain. They must be in possession of them at the time of start hiring. GE will not sponsor this requirement.

Desired Characteristics

·  Fluent knowledge in French and in English (oral and written), Spanish is a plus
·  Offshore standards for marine operations (DNV, BV) 
·  Experienced in Statistics and Weather standby calculation 
·  Microsoft Office 
·  Self-starter 
·  Meticulous, proactive with positive attitude and willing to learn
·  Able to support multiple projects and/or business options
·  Strong problem-solving, analytical and organizational skills
