Role Summary/Purpose

GE Aviation On Wing Support London Heathrow are offering high quality 3 year Apprenticeships in Aerospace Mechanical Engineering,
Essential Responsibilities

This is a brilliant opportunity within a well-established, global aviation company. The apprenticeship will be in partnership with GE Aviation On Wing Support London, however part of the three year apprenticeship your base for education and training will be undertook at Coleg Y Cmoedd in Caerphilly, Nantgarw, situated near South of Cardiff.
The apprenticeships will be broken down as follows:
Year 1 – Full time at Coleg y Cymoedd, South Wales
Year 2 – Four days on site at GE Aviation with day release to college at Coleg Y Cymoedd, South Wales
Year 3 – Half year GE Aviation Wales, half year at GE Aviation On Wing Support London.

The Engineering Apprenticeships are demanding schemes, which require analytical skills, a logical mind, numeracy, communication skills, teamwork, good manual dexterity, problem solving skills and the ability to read and interpret diagrams and instructions.
Upon completion, qualifications achieved will be both a BTEC Level 3 and NVQ Level 3 in the relevant fields. You will then be eligible to apply for Aircraft Engineer roles within the On Wing Support GE Facility situated in Feltham Heathrow London.

Salary details:
Circa £11k rising to circa £18k
Relocation Allowance:
£400 per month
Qualifications/Requirements

Applicants must have, or expect to achieve, a minimum of 5 GCSEs, at least Grade C or above, to include Mathematics, English Language and Science. BTEC in Science will also be considered.

Desired Characteristics

B in Mathematics or a recognised engineering/technology qualification such as BTEC Level 2 Engineering or City and Guilds Level 2 Engineering
