Role Summary/Purpose
The Material Associate is responsible for processing customer deliveries and ensuring material
ships on-time, while managing compliance of our internal delivery operations.
Essential Responsibilities
In addition, as the Material Associate, you will:
• Be responsible for Inventory accuracy, ordering consumables, receiving and shipping transactions
• Work with shop management to execute on hardware delivery commitments
• Ensure timely shipments to all customers
• Interface with demand management, shop scheduling, fulfillment team, configuration control, supply sources, customer service reps and other GE organizations as required
• Maintain accurate traceability for all records created during shipment and transfer of products
• Analyze and measure the current production status and Identify problem areas that Inhibit full schedule realization
• Analyze data to determine opportunities to decrease inventory, improve customer service levels and reduce total costs
• Be responsible for ordering, expediting, receiving, stocking and distributing spare parts and office I shop supplies
• Responsible for the loading or unloading of vehicles as required
Qualifications/Requirements
High School diploma from an accredited school / GED
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT(S):
• Willingness and ability to work various shifts / various days
• Must be capable of lifting approximately 35 lbs
