Role Summary/Purpose

The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler under limited supervision, is responsible for the planning and scheduling of all maintenance and calibration activities at the GE Healthcare Westborough, Massachusetts manufacturing site. The scope of work includes all corrective and preventive maintenance work, calibrations, equipment qualifications, shutdown, and project work, performed by site maintenance personnel and external service contractors.
Essential Responsibilities

o Use current industry best practices to prioritize, plan, and schedule all corrective and preventive maintenance, calibrations, and equipment qualifications for the maintenance team and external service providers.
o Plan and schedule facility shutdowns and projects to meet organizational objectives.
o Manage maintenance activities and the work order backlog in the CMMS.
o Maintain the CMMS to ensure that all system data is updated, accurate, and compliant.
o Develop maintenance plans and weekly schedules for the maintenance team.
o Lead weekly planning and scheduling meetings and attend daily maintenance meetings.
o Develop, track, and report maintenance KPI’s to facilities management.
o Coordinate planned work activities with vendors and service contractors.
o Obtain proposals from approved suppliers/vendors and create requisitions.
o Develop job tasks and standards for repetitive work activities.
o Manage the procurement of parts required for work activities and inventory replenishment.
o Manage the Maintenance Store Room and monitor critical inventory levels.
o Network and attend training to stay current on industry trends and best practices.
o Interface with regulators and government officials as needed to obtain permits and approvals for work.
o Ensure that Safety and Quality are always the priority in every activity.
Qualifications/Requirements

1. High School Diploma or GED
2. Minimum of 6 years’ experience in a maintenance planning/scheduling role within a manufacturing facility OR 3 years’ experience in a maintenance planning/scheduling role and at least 6 years’ skilled trade experience maintaining systems and equipment within a manufacturing environment.
3. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
4. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of building management and utility systems.
5. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of environmental, health and safety regulations, policies, and programs.
6. Demonstrated experience and proficiency in the use of a CMMS, preferably Infor EAM
7. Demonstrated experience in managing calibration activities for a maintenance organization.
8. Knowledge and experience in inventory management and maintenance store rooms.
9. Knowledge of building codes and permit requirements.
10. Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment such as medical device or pharmaceutical.
11. Experience working within the guidelines of a Quality Management System.
