Role Summary/Purpose

As part of a team the Maintenance Electrician work involves the installation, checking, repairing and servicing of machinery, plant, equipment and infrastructure across the Bishops Cleeve Campus. The Maintenance Electricians tasks will encompasses all engineering disciplines with exposure to various electrical, electronic, HVAC, Plumbing and building systems. You will be responsible for reliability improvements, obsolescence resolution, configuration and documentation of services and systems.
Essential Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Electrician, you will support to a range of planned preventative maintenance tasks and respond to unscheduled breakdowns providing timely solutions in order to ensure Manufacturing and Engineering operations are not impacted.
Key Activities: 

·  Developing solutions to technical problems 
·  Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance 
·  Responding to Breakdowns of Plant and Equipment 
·  Diagnosing faults
·  Installation and Repairing equipment 
·  Supervising contractors 
·  Maintaining records 
·  Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations 
·  Creating maintenance procedures 
·  Managing supplies and equipment 
·  Some ‘on call’ may be required 
·   Ensuring compliance with mandatory regulations, standards and company processes
Qualifications/Requirements

·  18th Edition Wiring regulations 
·  City and Guilds 2382-18 Electrical Installations (or equivalent) 
·  City and Guilds 2391 Electrical Inspection and Testing 
·  Experience in working in a similar maintenance environment
·  A strong problem solver with an interest in installation and maintenance 
·  Relevant technical knowledge 
·  Analytical, with a keen attention to detail 
·  Good team player who is capable of operating in a multi discipline environment 
·  Strong organisational and communication skills 
·  Energetic and self-motivated, with an ability to self-manage tasks and priorities 
·  Computer literacy
